We present a virtual tour of our Marietta funeral home.

The Hadley Funeral Home building, located at 500 Fifth Street at Wooster Street in Marietta, OH, was conveyed by will to Elizabeth Shepard in March, 1832, and the line of ownership is complete from then until present.   The first occupant was Mrs. Laura Clark Chamberlain, the sister of the builder.   The second was her daughter, Nancy Chamberlain Gurley, and , in 1917, Mr. F.H. Hall purchased the home and lost it to the Dime Savings Society.  In 1937, Harold B. Hadley purchased the home from the Dime Savings Society during the depression to become the now named Hadley Funeral Home, which opened on Mothers Day, May 5, 1938.  The house was remodeled to become a funeral home and has had many improvements over the years, but always keeping the homelike surroundings.  The funeral home has two large chapels, arrangement office, lounge area with coffee and refreshments, children's area, casket selection room, and a collection of Marietta High School and Marietta College yearbooks dating back to 1919.  Friends may stop anytime to tour the funeral home during normal business hours.
